The Mommy

I am 25 years old and have been married to my wonderful husband, Justin, since I was 19. Many think we were too young, and maybe we were, but marrying the love of my life has been one of the best decisions I have ever made! I knew long before I started dating my husband that I wanted to be a mother, it was a dream that I hoped would come true when I married the man God had created just for me. Once we were married we both decided we wanted to start trying immediately, however things didn't go as planned... but when do they really? You can read more about our TTC journey HERE.

After 2.5 years of trying we finally conceived our daughter without any fertility meds or interventions. We were ecstatic to be growing our family by one! My pregnancy was pretty tough, I was sick constantly for 34 weeks and thought I'd never stop getting sick. Thankfully in the last few weeks of my pregnancy the nausea and vomiting subsided and while I was uncomfortable with my ever expanding belly, I was able to enjoy the end of my pregnancy. Boogie has been an absolute joy, we've made it through sleepless nights, endless nursing sessions, and all the ins and outs of toddlerhood.

That TTC journey finally ended in 2010 and we are happy to announce that we are expecting our second bundle, a boy, in November of 2012. This TTC journey was incredibly short considering that we were planning on starting AFTER the cycle we conceived this little one! God is so good!

I have learned a lot becoming a mother, I've learned to be more accepting to different views, although I don't agree with a LOT... I try to be understanding and see things through other's eyes. I am a believer in extended breastfeeding, babywearing, cloth diapering, baby led weaning, and co-sleeping. But even still, my views on those particular topics still vary to each and every mother... because we are ALL different!

Anyways, thanks for stopping by my blog, I hope you find our adventures to be funny, entertaining, and a good read.... not everything will be perfect or joyful all the time because this is my life exactly how I see it. :-D
